TCS is looking for a Procurement/Purchasing Specialist

TCS Building Automation Systems is seeking a detail-oriented, organized professional to manage procurement activities in our building automation controls manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the timely acquisition of components, raw materials, and equipment while supporting financial accuracy and compliance. Prior experience in a manufacturing or technical setting is highly valued.

 

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers of electrical components (Such as integrated circuit components), instrumentation, and industrial materials.

Engineering Liaison: Partner closely with the Hardware Engineering department to review technical specifications and ensure all sourced components are fully compatible with current and future product designs.

Order Tracking: Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with production schedules.

Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorders to prevent production delays.

Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with vendors to optimize cost and reliability.

Requisition Review: Review and execute internal requisition orders.

Recordkeeping: Maintain purchasing files, price lists, and procurement records.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering

 

Qualifications and Skills

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and integrated circuitry components, with specific knowledge of relays and printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Professional Experience: Proven experience in supply chain management, purchasing, procurement, or inventory control, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Financial Literacy: Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial documentation.

Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP or procurement software.

Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Communication: Excellent communication and vendor negotiation abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Background: Technical background, vocational training, or prior experience in an engineering, instrumentation, or controls environment.

Component Familiarity: An understanding of industrial and electrical components such as sensors, actuators, relays, PCBs,

Quality Standards: Experience with procurement in regulated or quality-controlled manufacturing (e.g., ISO standards).
