Limited Warranty
TCS Basys Controls warrants its products to be free from defects due to workmanship or materials, under normal use and service, for a period of two (2) years from the date of manufacture or twelve (12) months from date of installation whichever comes first.
If a product is defective due to workmanship or materials, is removed within two (2) years from the date of manufacture or twelve (12) months after installation, and is returned to TCS Basys Controls in accordance with the procedures described below, TCS Basys Controls will, at its option, either repair, replace or credit the customer for the original purchase price of the product, in accordance with the procedure described below.
The expressed warranty shown above constitutes the entire warranty of TCS Basys Controls with respect to its products and is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. In no event shall TCS Basys Controls be responsible for any consequential damage or charges of any nature whatsoever, including labor costs.
Instructions
When replacing a TCS Basys Controls product purchased from TCS Basys Controls, contact TCS Basys Controls directly for prompt and efficient product replacement service.
When replacing a TCS Basys Controls product purchased from a wholesaler, distributor, contractor or other representative, you should rely on that channel for prompt and efficient product replacement service.
All products require prior approval with issuance of a Return Authorization (RA) number by TCS Basys Controls. TCS Basys Controls is not responsible for any product that is returned without prior approval and an RA number. No warranty claim for product replacement or credit will be honored without a valid return authorization number. To obtain an RA number please use the online RA Request Form. The following will apply to the return of any product to TCS Basys Controls under this warranty:
Any product which:
- Is identified with a TCS Basys Controls Return Authorization (RA) number and is certified by TCS Basys Controls Technical Support to have been removed due to failure within two (2) years from the date of manufacture or twelve (12) months after date of installation whichever comes first.
- Is listed individually by product model number and date code on a form referencing the applicable TCS Basys Controls RA number.
- Is protected from shipping damage.
- Is received, shipping prepaid, at:

‡ (RA number issued by TCS Basys Controls) - Is found by inspection by TCS Basys Controls to be defective on workmanship or materials under normal use and service.
Returned products will be handled in accordance with one of the two following procedures.
- Credit Procedure - TCS Basys Controls will issue credit based on the original product invoice within 60 working days from receipt of the product by TCS Basys Controls. The credit will be issued in the original form of payment (i.e., if bought on account, credit will be issued on account, no check will be written). TCS Basys Controls reserves the right to disallow this credit option in case of warranty abuse or improper installation.
- Repair or Replacement Procedure - TCS Basys Controls will, at its option, either repair or replace the product free of charge and return it or its replacement to the customer using the lowest cost, prepaid transportation method of its choosing. The replacement will be, at the option of TCS Basys Controls, either a new product of the same model or a new functionally equivalent TCS Basys Controls product.
In the event that inspection by TCS Basys Controls does not disclose any defect covered by the warranty, the product will be returned, scrapped, repaired, or replaced as instructed by the customer and all regular service charges will apply. In this case, all returned products will be sent to the customer freight collect.
Final disposition of any and all warranty claims will be determined solely by TCS Basys Controls.
Over Purchase and Overstock
Products to be returned due to over purchase or overstock require prior approval with issuance of a Return Authorization (RA) number by TCS Basys Controls. All products should be returned freight prepaid and must be new, unmarked, in original unmarked packaging, and have never been installed PLUS be within (1) year from the date of manufacture to be considered for credit. All products returned due to over purchase or overstock are subject to a 25% restocking fee based on original product invoice.
Final disposition of any over purchase or overstock credit will be determined solely by TCS Basys Controls.
Repair and Rework
TCS Basys Controls will not issue a return authorization number for anything other than a warranty issue. We will not repair, calibrate or rework product that is not a warranty issue.
Return Authorization (RA) numbers are only valid for 30 dates from date of issue. If product is not returned within 30 days, one must acquire a new return authorization number.
