Energy Savings

Several third-party independent studies of Ubiquity’s financial impact have been carried out indicating a typical payback period of 12 to 24 months.

More efficient use of HVAC and lighting often results in energy savings of 15% to 30% as well as a significant increase in life expectancy of equipment of several years. Ubiquity also offers built-in equipment protection that prevents equipment damage in case of an HVAC malfunction or power outage. Examples include cooling/heating lockouts based on outdoor air temperature, automatic compressor shutoff when the fan fails, and delayed startup after power outages.

Remote monitoring and control typically bring a reduction in the number of unnecessary service calls. Studies by Ubiquity customers show a reduction of 40% to 60% can be attained. This reduction results from avoiding unnecessary calls and deferring work by grouping minor repairs (as determined by Ubiquity’s remote troubleshooting capability) with scheduled service calls.

Manpower is also reduced by the ability to make enterprise-wide changes in a fraction of the time.
